M. Myrlene Brungardt

GREAT BEND - M. Myrlene Brungardt, 61, died May 7, 2002, at Hutchinson Hospital, Hutchinson.

She was born Sept. 8, 1940, at Okmulgee, Okla., the daughter of Charles W. and Erple E. Weaver Castor. A resident of Great Bend for three years, moving from Russell, she worked for USD 428, Great Bend, in food services.

She attended St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Great Bend, and was a member of Rainbow Girls, Natoma, and 4-H Leader and Board Member of Ellis County.

She married Bud Brungardt.

Survivors include: companion, Maurice Nordman, Great Bend; two daughters, Amanda Oxenford, Hays, and Cindy Pottorff Lawrence; parents, Charles and Erple Castor, Okmulgee, Okla.; a brother, Kevin Castor, Hutchinson; four sisters, Charlene Rathbun, Ellis, Sue Paget, Waldo, Judy Snow, Schulter, Okla., and Karren Critchfield, Burrton; four grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James Castor.

Memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Great Bend Family Mortuary, Great Bend, with the Rev. Joel Rathbun presiding. Friends may visit from 8 a.m. to service time Friday at the mortuary. Inurnment will be in Great Bend Cemetery.
